Augsburg City Hall, Golden Hall & Perlach Tower

The town hall is a Renaissance building, inside which is the Golden Hall.
This is a large, magnificently decorated hall with elaborate ceiling and wall paintings.

Right next to the town hall is the Perlach Tower, which offers a great view over Augsburg.

Fuggerei

The oldest existing social housing estate in the world, founded in 1521 by Jakob Fugger.
It consists of many small houses, a church, and a museum.

Old Town & Lech Quarter

Narrow streets, historic buildings, canals, and small bridges characterize the Old Town.
The Lech Quarter in particular is often compared to “Little Venice.”

A very special highlight is the Augsburg Water Management System (UNESCO World Heritage Site).
It is a complex system of waterways, fountains, waterworks, and canals.
